From Central Asia. Kazakhs are a Turkic ethnic group whose homeland stretches across Central Asia and even into Eastern Europe. Most Kazakhs today live in the country of Kazakhstan, which is their modern nation state.

Speak Kazakh language. Kazakhs speak the Kazakh language, which belongs to the Turkic language family. This language connects them to millions of other Turkic people across a huge region of the world.
