Sword in the Stone. According to legend, young Arthur proved he was the rightful king by pulling a magical sword called Excalibur from a stone when no one else could move it. This amazing feat showed he had the power to rule all of Britain.

Camelot's Round Table. King Arthur's castle at Camelot was famous for its Round Table, where all his knights sat as equals with no head of the table. This meant every knight had the same importance and honor.

Knights of Legend. Arthur gathered the greatest warriors in Britain as his Knights of the Round Table, including the famous Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain. These knights went on quests to help people and search for magical objects like the Holy Grail.

Stories That Lasted. Though King Arthur was legendary rather than a real historical king, his story inspired hundreds of books, poems, and films over more than a thousand years. Writers across Europe loved telling tales of his adventure and magic.

Merlin the Wizard. Arthur's wise advisor was Merlin, a powerful wizard who helped Arthur become king and guided him throughout his reign. Merlin's magic and prophecies were central to many of Arthur's greatest adventures.
