Light magic in stone. Marble has a special superpower: light can travel a tiny distance into the marble before bouncing back out. This creates a soft, glowing effect that makes marble sculptures look alive, especially when carving faces and skin.

Ancient artists loved it. Sculptors have chosen marble for thousands of years to create their most important monuments and statues. Even the ancient Greeks and Romans picked marble over other stones because of how beautiful it looked.
