Author of classics. Margaret Wise Brown wrote Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, two books that millions of children have loved for over 75 years. These stories are so special that parents still read them to their kids at bedtime today.

Used secret pen names. Brown wrote under different fake names for different publishers, like Golden MacDonald, Timothy Hay, and Juniper Sage. It was like she had secret author identities for different companies.

The nursery laureate. People called her 'the laureate of the nursery' because she was so brilliant at writing stories for young children. A laureate is someone who wins highest honor for what they do.

Worked with great illustrators. Brown partnered with an amazing illustrator named Clement Hurd, who drew the pictures for both Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Their teamwork made these books extra magical.
