Mountain lovers. Marmots live in Asia, Europe, and North America, usually in high, rocky areas where they dig burrows to live in and escape predators.

Super sleepers. During winter, marmots hibernate in their underground burrows for months, slowing their heartbeat and body temperature to save energy when food is scarce.

Social squad. Marmots love hanging out together in groups during the warm summer months, chatting and playing above ground while they search for plants and grasses to eat.

Squirrel champions. Marmots are the biggest and heaviest members of the entire squirrel family, making them heavyweight champions among their smaller cousins.
