Medusaceratops

Horned plant-eater. Medusaceratops was a ceratopsian dinosaur, which means it had horns and a big bony frill on its head, kind of like a fancy crown.

Snake-like frills. This dinosaur's name means 'Medusa horned face,' named after the mythical monster Medusa who had snakes for hair, because Medusaceratops had wild, wavy frills that looked like twisting snakes.

Judith River times. Medusaceratops lived in the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Montana, in ancient forests and swamps near the Judith River Formation.

Only one species. Scientists have only found one species of this dinosaur, called Medusaceratops lokii, named after the mischievous Norse god Loki.
