Herbivore with plates. Tuojiangosaurus ate only plants and had a distinctive row of bony plates running down its spine, just like its famous relative Stegosaurus.

Found in China. Scientists discovered the fossils of this dinosaur in the Sichuan Province of China, in rock layers from the Late Jurassic Period when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

Ancient time traveler. Tuojiangosaurus lived millions of years ago during the Late Jurassic Period, a time when long-necked sauropods and other amazing creatures shared the planet.

Built-in protection. Like other stegosaurs, Tuojiangosaurus likely used its plates and spiky tail as defense against large meat-eating dinosaurs that hunted it.
