A Fortified Palace Complex. The Kremlin is like a giant walled city inside Moscow, with its own palaces, cathedrals, towers, and walls all protecting important government buildings. It's been the center of Russian power for over 800 years.
Home of Russian Leaders. The Grand Kremlin Palace inside the Kremlin was where Russian Tsars once lived as kings. Today, the President of Russia uses it as an official residence and workplace.
