Fastest motorcycle racing. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the highest level of motorcycle road racing in the world, where the most skilled riders compete on specially designed circuits.
Racing since 1900s. Motorcycle racing started in the early 1900s when big national events were called Grand Prix races, making it one of the oldest motorsport championships ever.
Global governing body. The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) was created in 1949 to make fair rules for all motorcycle racing around the world so different countries could compete fairly.
