Impossibly tiny primates. Mouse lemurs are the smallest primates in the world, weighing less than a hamster and fitting in the palm of your hand. Their big eyes help them see perfectly in the dark while they hunt for insects and fruit.

Night creatures. Mouse lemurs are nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the day and come alive when the sun sets. They have huge ears that swivel around to catch every sound in the forest.

Super jumpers. Despite their tiny size, mouse lemurs are incredible leapers that can jump many times their own body length through the trees. Their long tail helps them balance as they bounce from branch to branch.

Madagascar only. Mouse lemurs live nowhere else on Earth except the island of Madagascar, off the coast of Africa. They're one of many unique lemur species found only on this special island.

Forest acrobats. These little primates live in the forests and woodlands of Madagascar, where they hunt insects, eat fruit, and sometimes catch small lizards. They're most active during the rainy season when food is plentiful.
