Olorotitan

Duck-billed dino. Olorotitan was a lambeosaur, which means it had a long, flat bill shaped like a duck's bill, perfect for eating plants and stripping leaves from trees.

Fancy head crest. Like many lambeosaurs, Olorotitan had a hollow crest on top of its head that it probably used to make loud honking sounds to talk to other dinosaurs.

Last of its kind. Olorotitan was alive during the very end of the Age of Dinosaurs, in the Maastrichtian age, meaning it lived right up until the extinction event 66 million years ago.

Found in Russia. Scientists discovered Olorotitan's fossils in eastern Russia near the Amur River, showing that duck-billed dinosaurs lived all across the ancient world, not just in North America.

Only one species. Olorotitan is a monotypic genus, meaning scientists have only found evidence of one species in this group, unlike some dinosaur families with many different types.
