Organized like a grid. Trees in orchards are usually planted in neat rows and columns, kind of like a checkerboard. This layout helps farmers walk between the trees, pick the fruit, and trim the branches without getting tangled up.

Kept tidy and clean. The ground in orchards is often mowed grass or bare soil, not wild weeds and bushes. This keeps the orchard neat and makes it easy to gather fallen fruit or spot problems with the trees.

Beautiful and useful. While many orchards are farms that sell produce, some families keep small orchards in their gardens just because they love having fresh fruit and enjoy how pretty the blooming trees look.
