Cool Facts
A Natural Mix. Peppermint isn't a plant that evolved on its own. It's a hybrid, which means it came from two different mint plants, watermint and spearmint, mixing together in nature.
Started in Europe. Peppermint first grew wild in Europe and the Middle East, where its parent plants lived. Now people grow it all over the world because it tastes amazing and has so many uses.
Can Still Happen. Even today, you can occasionally find peppermint growing wild where its two parent plants grow together. This shows that nature is still doing the same mixing process that created it long ago.
Looks Like Its Parents. Peppermint has features from both watermint and spearmint, giving it its own special taste and appearance. This mix makes it perfect for candy, tea, and all kinds of treats.
