Cool Facts
Birthday party favorite. This game has been around since 1899 and is still played at birthday parties and family gatherings today. Kids love how silly and funny it gets when you're blindfolded and spinning!
The donkey needs a tail. One player gets blindfolded while the others watch. Then that player tries to stick or pin a paper tail on a picture of a donkey, even though they can't see where it's going.
Spinning makes it tricky. Before you try to place the tail, you spin around several times to get all dizzy and confused. This makes it way harder to remember where the donkey picture actually is!
Everyone gets a turn. Each player gets blindfolded and tries to place the tail. The funny part is watching everyone stumble around and stick the tail in hilarious places, like on the donkey's nose or way off the picture.
Created by Kate Hunt. The earliest version of this game was made by someone named Kate Hunt and was listed in an official American games catalog way back in 1899.
