Red Rover

Chain of players. Two teams stand in facing lines and hold hands tightly. One team chants 'Red Rover, Red Rover, let [a player's name] come over,' and that player runs full speed toward the other team's chain to try to break through.

Breaking the chain. If the running player breaks through the line, they get to choose someone from that team to join their side. But if they don't break through, they have to join the other team instead.

Big group game. You need at least 10 players to play Red Rover, so it's perfect for a full classroom, big birthday party, or busy playground with lots of kids.

Speed and strategy. Players have to run fast AND pick the right spot in the chain to try to break through, while the other team grips their hands super tight to block them.
