Mountain Home. Sherpas live in the mountainous regions of Nepal, India, and Tibet, where the tall peaks and snowy slopes have shaped their way of life for generations.

Master Climbers. Sherpas are known around the world as skilled mountaineers who help climbers reach the peaks of the highest mountains, including Mount Everest.

Sacred Monasteries. Sherpas build and maintain special monasteries called gompas where they practice their Buddhist traditions and keep their culture alive in the mountains.

Wide Region. Most Sherpas live in eastern Nepal, but you can also find them in nearby areas like Bhutan and the Indian states of Sikkim and West Bengal.
