Store invention. Shops, especially big supermarkets, supply shopping carts for free so customers can easily transport lots of merchandise at once. Without carts, shoppers would have to carry everything in their hands or use baskets.

Wheels make it easy. Shopping carts have wheels on the bottom that let them roll smoothly across the store floor. The wheels make it simple to move heavy or bulky items without getting tired.

Called by many names. Depending on where you live in the world, people call it different things: a shopping trolley in Britain, a buggy in some places, or a cart in America. It's the same helpful invention with a bunch of different names!
