Stores grain safely. Silos keep massive amounts of harvested grain dry and protected from weather, pests, and rot. A single large silo can hold enough grain to feed thousands of people.

Tower-shaped for a reason. Silos are built tall and cylindrical because this shape uses space efficiently and makes it easy for grain to slide down and out through openings at the bottom.

Essential for farming. Farmers rely on silos to store their harvest after collecting it, so they can sell it throughout the year instead of all at once when prices might be low.

Different types exist. Some silos are made of concrete, others from steel, and some from wood, depending on what's being stored and how long it needs to last.
