Massive two-part vehicle. Starship sits on top of a booster called Super Heavy, and together they make one of the most powerful rockets ever built. The whole system is designed to be reusable, which means it can launch again and again instead of being thrown away.

Goes almost anywhere. SpaceX says Starship could fly passengers anywhere on Earth in under an hour. It's also built to carry up to 100 people on long trips to the Moon and Mars, making space travel a real possibility for many more humans.

Smart landing system. Instead of crashing, Starship catches itself using powerful engines that fire to slow it down. On Earth, it lands by being caught in the arms of a special tower, and on other planets, it uses landing legs to touch down safely.

Refueling in space. One clever trick is that Starship can refuel other Starships while floating in space. This lets them go even farther and reach places they normally couldn't, like distant orbits or other planets.

Personal space travel. Elon Musk and SpaceX dream of making space travel routine for regular people, not just astronauts. Starship is the vehicle they're building to make that dream come true.
