Fighting for votes. Susan B. Anthony spent over 50 years working to give women the right to vote. She gave speeches, collected signatures, and refused to give up even when people told her to stop.

Quaker roots. Born into a Quaker family that believed in equality for everyone, Susan learned from a young age that treating people fairly mattered most. This gave her the courage to challenge unfair laws.

Multiple causes. Before focusing on women's voting rights, Susan collected petitions against slavery and fought to end it. She believed all people deserved freedom and respect.

Arrested for voting. In 1872, Susan boldly voted in an election even though it was illegal for women. She was arrested and fined, but she never paid the fine as a protest against the unfair rule.
