Cool Facts
Rescues broken cars. Tow trucks arrive quickly when a car breaks down on the road or gets into an accident, then safely pull or carry the damaged vehicle away from traffic and danger.
Different pulling methods. Some tow trucks use chains or cables to pull a disabled car from the front or back, while others have a flatbed that tilts down so a car can be driven or winched onto it for transport.
Helps in emergencies. Tow trucks are heroes during bad weather, accidents, or when cars flip into ditches, getting vehicles unstuck and bringing them to repair shops so drivers can get back on the road.
Moves illegally parked cars. When someone parks in a no-parking zone or their car is impounded by police, tow trucks are called to safely relocate those vehicles to parking lots or police facilities.
Strong and powerful. Tow trucks have extra-powerful engines and heavy-duty equipment because they need enough strength to pull cars that may weigh several tons without breaking down.
