Turiasaurus

Truly enormous sauropod. Turiasaurus was one of the largest land animals to ever walk the Earth, with a long neck and tail that helped it reach high plants and keep its balance.

Found in Spain. Scientists discovered the fossil of Turiasaurus in the Villar del Arzobispo Formation in Teruel, Spain, giving us clues about what dinosaurs lived in Europe millions of years ago.

Single specimen known. We only have one fossil skeleton of Turiasaurus, which makes it special but also means there is still much to learn about this mysterious giant.

Lived in Jurassic times. Turiasaurus roamed Earth during the Kimmeridgian period, which was part of the Late Jurassic era about 150 million years ago.
