Cool Facts
Real people matter most. Instead of just experts guessing how something should work, usability testing brings in actual users who have never seen the product before. Their honest reactions show designers exactly what confuses people or works great.
Spotting hidden problems. When you test with real users, you discover design flaws that experts would never catch sitting at a desk. A button might be in the wrong place, instructions might be confusing, or the whole flow might not make sense to someone new.
Saves products from failure. If an app is confusing and nobody wants to use it, it will disappear fast. Usability testing catches these problems early so designers can fix them before the product actually launches.
Different from expert review. Expert designers can look at an interface and spot issues using special methods, but that's not the same as watching a real person struggle with it. Actual user feedback is irreplaceable.
Measures design intuition. The best products feel natural and obvious to use right away, even if you've never seen them before. Usability testing checks if a design is truly intuitive or if it needs to be clearer.
