Cool Facts
Opposite of black holes. While black holes trap everything that falls in, a white hole would be the reverse, letting energy, matter, and light escape outward instead of getting stuck.
Only theoretical. White holes exist only in mathematics and theory right now. Scientists have never observed one, and we don't know if they could actually form in our universe.
Connected to time. White holes only appear in certain solutions to Einstein's relativity equations, specifically in theories about eternal black holes that have a past white hole region and a future black hole region.
Everything escapes. While nothing can escape a black hole's pull once it crosses the event horizon, a white hole would constantly push energy and information outward into space.
