Ultimate baseball prize. The World Series is the championship series of Major League Baseball, where the champion from the American League plays the champion from the National League to see who is the best.

Best of seven games. Teams play up to seven games to win the World Series, and the first team to win four games becomes the champion and gets the Commissioner's Trophy.

Started in 1903. The World Series first happened in 1903, right after the American League decided to become a second major baseball league to compete with the National League.

US and Canada. Major League Baseball has teams in both the United States and Canada, so the World Series can feature champions from either country.
