Incredibly tall drop. Yosemite Falls drops 2,425 feet from top to bottom, making it the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park and one of the most spectacular in North America.
Sierra Nevada location. The waterfall is tucked into the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, where it's fed by snowmelt and mountain streams flowing down from the high peaks.
Peak water season. Yosemite Falls is most impressive in late spring when melting snow fills it with tons of rushing water, creating a thundering curtain of mist that you can see and hear from far away.
Major park attraction. Millions of visitors come to Yosemite National Park each year, and the towering waterfall is one of the most popular spots to visit and photograph.
