A castle city. Prague is home to Prague Castle, one of the largest castles in the world. It has stood on a hill above the city for over 1,000 years and is so big it's like a small town inside a castle.
River runs through it. The Vltava River winds right through Prague, and the famous Charles Bridge crosses it with towers and statues lining both sides. This bridge has connected the old and new parts of the city since the 1300s.
Huge city in Europe. Prague is one of Europe's 12 largest cities, with about 1.4 million people living there and 2.3 million in the area around it. It's the biggest city in the Czech Republic.
An old clock show. The Old Town Square has a famous astronomical clock that has been performing since 1410. Every hour, little figures pop out and move around in a magical display.
Gothic towers and spires. Prague's skyline is filled with beautiful towers and church spires with pointy tops, giving it a fairy-tale look that makes it one of the most photographed cities in the world.
