Massive Soccer Home. Allianz Arena is a gigantic football stadium in Munich, Germany, that holds up to 75,000 people for games. It is the second-largest stadium in all of Germany.
Glowing Plastic Shell. The stadium's outside is covered in inflated panels made of ETFE plastic, which is a special see-through material. This makes it the first stadium in the world with a full color-changing exterior.
Rainbow Light Shows. The plastic panels can glow in different colors, creating amazing light displays at night. Fans watching from outside can see the whole stadium light up like a giant lantern.
Northern Munich Location. The arena sits at the northern edge of Munich, in a neighborhood called Schwabing-Freimann. Franz-Beckenbauer-Platz, the plaza in front, is named after a soccer legend.
