Cool Facts
No pedals needed. Balance bikes don't have pedals at all. Instead, kids push themselves forward by walking or running their feet along the ground, just like how you'd move on a scooter.
Balance comes first. By focusing on balance and steering without worrying about pedaling, kids learn to stay upright and in control much faster than they would with training wheels.
Feet stay low. Kids sit on the seat with their feet flat on the ground, so they feel safe and can easily catch themselves if they start to tip over.
Building real skills. Once a child masters a balance bike, switching to a pedal bike is easier because they already know how to balance. They just need to learn where the pedals go.
Faster progress. Research shows kids who use balance bikes often learn to ride regular bikes without training wheels sooner than kids who start with training wheels.
