The Twin Stars. Gemini is named after Castor and Pollux, two brothers in Greek mythology who were famous for their heroic adventures together. These two brightest stars in the constellation represent the twins and are easy to find in the night sky.

Ancient and Famous. Gemini is one of the oldest constellations, described by the astronomer Ptolemy way back in the 2nd century AD. It's been recognized for over 2,000 years and is still one of the 88 constellations we use today to map the stars.

In the Zodiac. Gemini is one of the 12 zodiac constellations that the Sun appears to move through during the year. If you were born between late May and late June, Gemini is your zodiac sign.

Northern Skies. Gemini lives in the northern celestial hemisphere, which means it's easier to see from the Northern Hemisphere of Earth. In winter months, it's one of the brightest and easiest constellations to spot.
