Cool Facts
Tiny but mighty. A golf ball weighs no more than 1.62 ounces and measures at least 1.68 inches across. That's smaller than a ping-pong ball but packed with engineering.

Rules are serious. Not every ball can be used in real golf competitions. The R&A and United States Golf Association test and approve each type to make sure it meets strict standards.
Everything is measured. Golf balls have limits on how fast they can travel, how far they can go, and how perfectly round they need to be. No cheating allowed!
Dimples matter. Golf balls have hundreds of tiny dips called dimples on their surface that help them fly straighter and farther through the air.
