Leader of the Argonauts. Jason assembled a crew of the greatest heroes in ancient Greece and sailed on a ship called the Argo in search of the Golden Fleece, a precious golden object that could grant wishes or bring great fortune.

Rightful king's son. Jason was born the son of Aeson, who was the true king of Iolcos, but his uncle took the throne instead. Jason had to go on his famous quest partly to prove himself worthy and reclaim his father's kingdom.

Married a sorceress. Jason married Medea, a powerful sorceress and granddaughter of Helios the sun god. She used her magic to help him overcome obstacles during his adventures.

A quest for glory. The Golden Fleece came from a magical flying ram and was kept guarded in a faraway land. Jason's journey to retrieve it became one of the most famous adventures in all of Greek mythology.
