Kapok Fibre

Comes from giant trees. Kapok fibre comes from the seed pods of the Ceiba pentandra tree, which grows in tropical rainforests and can reach heights of 150 feet or more, making them some of the tallest trees in the forest.

Super light and fluffy. The fibre is incredibly fluffy and lightweight because it's hollow inside, which makes it perfect for stuffing pillows, quilts, and cushions without adding much weight.

Saves swimmers. Because kapok doesn't absorb water and floats so well, it has been used for decades to stuff life jackets and keep people safe in the ocean.

Pods burst open. The kapok tree produces large seed pods about the size of a pear, and when they dry and split open, the silky fibres inside are ready to collect and use.

Ancient and modern uses. People have used kapok for thousands of years, and today it's still valued as a natural, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic materials in bedding and clothing.
