Predicts the weather. The National Weather Service uses science and technology to forecast what the weather will be like, so you know if you need an umbrella or a jacket before you leave your house.

Very long history. The National Weather Service started way back in 1891 as the Weather Bureau, and has been helping Americans understand the sky for over 130 years.
