Incredible Olympic athlete. Olga Korbut won four gold medals and two silver medals competing for the Soviet Union at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympic Games, becoming one of the most decorated gymnasts of her time.

The Sparrow from Minsk. She earned this cool nickname because she was small and graceful, performing with the light elegance of a bird soaring through the air.

Changed gymnastics forever. Olga invented and performed moves that gymnasts had never attempted before, which inspired a whole new style of gymnastics that became much more daring and creative.

Hall of Fame legend. She was the very first person ever inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1988, recognizing her huge impact on the sport.

From Belarus to the world. Born in Minsk, she competed for the powerful Soviet Union gymnastics team, which was one of the best in the entire world.
