Parksosaurus

Tiny and nimble. Parksosaurus was much smaller than T-Rex, running around on two powerful back legs to zoom through ancient forests.

Plant muncher. This dinosaur ate plants and leaves, using its small teeth to chop up its food instead of hunting other animals.

Found in Alberta. Scientists discovered Parksosaurus fossils in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Canada, which was a lush ancient landscape 70 million years ago.

Late dinosaur time. Parksosaurus lived near the very end of the Cretaceous Period, just before all the dinosaurs disappeared from Earth.

Partial skeleton. We know about Parksosaurus from fossil remains that included most of its skeleton and part of its skull, giving scientists great clues about how it looked and lived.
