Sinoceratops

Horned plant-eater. Sinoceratops was a medium-sized dinosaur about as long as a car that walked on all four legs and ate plants for dinner.

Found in China. Scientists discovered three skulls of Sinoceratops near Zhucheng in Shandong province, which is why its name means 'Chinese horned face from Zhucheng.'

Late Cretaceous resident. This dinosaur lived between 77.3 and 73.5 million years ago, during the final part of the Cretaceous Period when dinosaurs still ruled Earth.

Two-tonne dino. Sinoceratops weighed about as much as two cars and stretched up to 16 feet long, making it a medium-sized member of its dinosaur family.

Named in 2010. Scientists officially named and described Sinoceratops just over a decade ago, making it a relatively new dinosaur discovery for the science world.
