Play as Mario or Luigi. You can control Mario or his brother Luigi to jump, run, and battle through the game, especially in multiplayer mode where two players can team up.

Collect power-ups to get stronger. As you explore, you can grab Super Mushrooms to grow bigger, Fire Flowers to shoot fireballs, and Starmans to become invincible and defeat enemies.

Avoid hazards and enemies. The game is tricky because you must jump over pits, dodge enemies like Goombas and Koopas, and time your moves carefully to survive each level.

Rescue Princess Toadstool. Your goal is to travel through side-scrolling stages in the magical Mushroom Kingdom and finally rescue Princess Toadstool from King Koopa's castle.
