Cool Facts
Rods with players. Instead of running across a field, you control small plastic or metal players attached to spinning rods to kick the ball into the goal. Each rod controls a different line of players, from the goalie all the way to the forwards.
Called different names. In Europe, people call it table football or fuΓball, while in North America it's usually called foosball or table soccer. No matter what you call it, the game is basically the same.
Rules vary casually. When friends play casually, the rules can be different depending on where you are. But at serious competitions, everyone follows the same official rulebook so matches are always fair.
Speed and skill. Great foosball players need quick reflexes and clever strategy to anticipate where the ball will go and position their rods perfectly to score or defend.
