An 18th-century marvel. Built in Rome, Italy, the Trevi Fountain was designed by architect Nicola Salvi and finished by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762. That means workers spent many years carving and building this incredible structure.

Absolutely enormous. The fountain stands 26.3 meters tall (about as high as an 8-story building) and stretches 49.15 meters wide. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the entire world.
