Explored the West. William Clark and Meriwether Lewis led the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition from 1804 to 1806, traveling from Missouri all the way to the Pacific Ocean. They mapped vast territories and discovered new plants and animals along the way.

Worked with Native Americans. Clark served as an Indian agent and built relationships with Native American tribes during his explorations. A Shoshone woman named Sacagawea was crucial to the expedition's success, helping the team communicate and navigate through unknown lands.

Soldier and leader. Clark was a military officer who fought in battles before becoming an explorer. His leadership skills and courage made him the perfect partner for the expedition across dangerous wilderness.

Governor of Missouri. After his famous explorations, Clark settled in Missouri and served as the territorial governor. He used his knowledge of the land and Native Americans to help govern and develop the new territory.
