Speedy South American hunter. Austroraptor was a dromaeosaur, a family of small to medium-sized meat-eating dinosaurs famous for being super smart and fast. It hunted in what is now Argentina millions of years ago.

Covered in feathers. Like other raptors, Austroraptor had feathers covering its body, which helped keep it warm and may have helped it show off to other dinosaurs. These weren't big wings like birds have today, but they made this dinosaur look pretty cool.

Deadly curved claws. Austroraptor had sharp, curved claws on its feet that it used to grab and hold onto prey while hunting. These claws were one of its most dangerous weapons, perfect for catching other dinosaurs.

Lived in late dinosaur times. Austroraptor roamed during the Late Cretaceous period, living during the Campanian and Maastrichtian ages. This was near the very end of the Age of Dinosaurs, just before dinosaurs went extinct.
