Created classics. E. B. White wrote three famous children's books that became classics: Stuart Little about a brave little mouse, Charlotte's Web about a pig saved by a spider's friendship, and The Trumpet of the Swan about a swan learning to play music.

Worked for magazines. White was a contributing editor for The New Yorker, a famous magazine where he wrote essays and articles for grown-up readers before he became famous for his children's stories.
