Musical genius. Tchaikovsky was the first Russian composer to become truly famous all around the world, not just in Russia. His music is still played and loved by millions of people today.

Ballet master. He wrote the music for three of the most famous ballets ever created: Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Nutcracker. These stories come alive through his melodies in a way that makes audiences cry and cheer.

Unforgettable melodies. Some of his most famous pieces include the 1812 Overture (which includes real cannon fire), the Violin Concerto, and his First Piano Concerto. You might have heard his music in movies, cartoons, or at special events.
