Qianzhousaurus

Asian tyrannosaur. Qianzhousaurus was a meat-eating dinosaur that lived in Asia millions of years ago, during the very end of the Cretaceous period when dinosaurs were about to disappear forever.

Long narrow snout. Unlike the famous Tyrannosaurus rex with its huge blocky head, Qianzhousaurus had a longer, more slender snout packed with razor-sharp teeth, perfect for catching quick prey.

Rare fossil find. Scientists have only discovered one species of this dinosaur so far, called Qianzhousaurus sinensis, making it a special piece of the dinosaur puzzle.

Close cousin of Alioramus. Qianzhousaurus belonged to a smaller group of tyrannosaurs called alioramins, and its nearest relative was another dinosaur named Alioramus, which also had that distinctive long snout.
