Inspired by Eiffel Tower. Tokyo Tower was designed to look like the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, but it's actually taller at 332.9 meters compared to the Eiffel Tower's 330 meters.

Sends signals everywhere. The tower works as a communications hub, broadcasting TV and radio signals across Tokyo so people can watch shows and listen to stations.

Red and white stripes. The tower is painted with white and international orange stripes, which is required by air safety rules so airplanes can see it clearly in the sky.

Amazing city views. Visitors can go up to observation decks inside the tower to see the entire city of Tokyo spread out below them like a giant map.

Record holder for decades. When it was finished in 1958, Tokyo Tower was the tallest structure in all of Japan, and it kept that record until Tokyo Skytree was built in 2012.
