Roundnet

Created in 1989. Roundnet was invented by Jeff Knurek, who got inspired by volleyball and wanted to create a game where players could compete in all directions around a circular net instead of across a line.

Played around a circle. Unlike volleyball where teams stand on opposite sides, roundnet players stand all around a small trampoline-like net and hit the ball toward it from every angle.

Two-on-two matches. The game is usually played with two players per team, making it fast-paced and exciting with lots of quick reactions and teamwork.

Volleyball inspiration. Roundnet borrows hitting techniques from volleyball, but the circular setup and smaller net make it a completely different challenge where you never know which direction the ball is coming from.
